heat wrapping pipes

I have an 88 honda shadow. Im not sure what the pipes are called but its basically a heat shield down to the mufflers. I want to wrap the pipes with header wrap up to the mufflers. I was just wondering if anyone had a ball park of how much wrap i may need. How much did you need if you did yours?
