New guy from North Carolina

#1 Unread post by chowdincharlotte »

I just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I'm ChowdInCharlotte and live in Charlotte NC. Looking forward to sharing information with other members. I ride a 2005 Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture and absolutely love it! The riding here in NC is awesome and hopefully I can provide members with lots of info about NC!

chowdincharlotte, whats up! I'm guessing you know where Mocksville, NC is?? if not it's just north of Salisbury. I love riding the mountains from route 80 out in Marion to the Blue Ridge Parkway and soon be taking 64 east out to the coast. Good luck and if you haven't been to the blue ridge, you have to go, great day of riding! Welcome and good luck

erbgottie,

Been to the blue ridge several times in fact last weekend did 4 days rode out to Maggie Valley, up in to Tenn and looped back down the Tail of the Dragon...check that out sometime! We then left Maggie and went to Blowing Rock on Saturday after a stop at the top of Mt Mitchell. The best riding anywhere is on the blue ridge.
Never been to to Mocksville..gonna have to check it out!
c ya!

Yeah, good times in the mtns huh? I'm in the service right now and when i come home (which is a lot) I take any back road that can lead me anywhere to the mtns. Some of the roads can get real crazy but it's always a good call especially with the weather cooling down somewhat. My shadow 750 doesn't worry though with it being L/C it never overheats, so that's great for hot days. :D

Welcome to the TMW community.

Have you got a pic of your bike? We'd love to see it. :)

It will make my friend dr_bar green with envy or drool with longing.
