Bikes With Pipes on Both Sides?

#1 Unread post by TxSinbad »

Currently overseas, but returning the middle of next year and plan to buy a bike. Personal preference is a bike with pipes on both sides. Looking for a cruiser or standard, 500-850cc, and not more than 5 years old.

The bikes that I am familiar with are: Triumph Bonneville/America, Kawasaki 550/750 Vulcans, and Suzuki VS 800 Intruder. Any others?

The Victory Touring Cruiser. Only downside is they don't produce that model anymore in lieu of the Kingpin Tour and the Vision. Last model year was 2006, but you can still get brand new ones at dealers or used ones for a really great price. It's also 1507cc...

Zephyr 750

Not sure where you are though, might have trouble finding them especially any of the newer ones if you live in North America.

They are as hard as sin to find around North America. I was horricially lucky to find my 91 Zephyr 750 on craigslist. Needless to say, I'm keeping this bike for a looong time. The girl at the Kawasaki dealer had never even heard of them; rare indeed.

Was looking into the 599 myself (as I lost hope for finding a Zephyr before I had found it). Make sure to sit on them. Sat on a 919 and didn't like where the foot pegs were.

I'd call them rare. They were only sold in the states for 2 or 3 yrs. In other parts of the world (like Europe and Asia, where people appreciate a standard retro bike), they were popular sellers for nearly a decade.

Nice looking Triumph America and Kawasaki Zephyr--didn't know they existed, which is why I am asking on this forum.

Another bike that I forgot about is the Suzuki S50.
