AVP 2!

#1 Unread post by Wrider »

So... Apparently the newest Alien Vs. Predator movie (coming out tomorrow, Christmas day) is based in Gunnison, Colorado. It takes place in the hospital's maternity ward (they have no hospital), the fern-filled forests (it's a semi-arid town at 7500, 8K ft, there are no ferns within a 500 mile radius unless it's inside), and in the concrete jungle (they don't have any buildings other than the college more than three stories...).

Instead of filming in the actual town, they had to go and film in Vancouver, BC!!! GGRRRRR Why'd they have to go and ruin it?!?!?!?!?! :frusty:

No offense to you Canucks btw, I love you guys!

Ah well, still gonna have to go check it out and see how it is!
Anyone else have opinions?

Oh trust me, as an east coaster BC is a paradise vacation spot. It's beautiful and the snowboarding is great. Our "ski resorts" are mainly big blocks of ice with $70 lift tickets... :frusty:

Yeah this really puts a burr under my saddle. Being from Gunnison I cannot understand WHY it is filmed in BC. There have been several movies filmed in Gunniville WHY not this one?

Not true, the Mexicans will do it for pennies on the dollar!
But yeah, I dunno why they would film it way up north in land/cityscapes that don't resemble the supposed location in the slightest! :frusty:

Ugg, this movie probably sucked..... I might watch it on TV at someone elses house.... they are ruining 2 perfectly good franchises (aliens and predator) with these stupid AvP movies.....ick.

the only way make them possibly watchable is to put them in The Aliens movie time period and get some space marines...

I did end up going to see it the other day actually. 1. They didn't get a THING right about Gunnison... and 2. It's definitely wait-for-DVD rental material. It was alright, but the Predators weren't nearly as good as they usually are, the aliens were alright, and the actors/actresses were B-Grade at best...
