It sounds like MR. Daytona will be back too. Ru$$ell is set to ride a YZF-R1 in the superbike race. There is no way he could be competetive at this point........or is there??????
Best Daytona ever was when he crashed on the first lap in the infield, remounted at the back of the pack and won the whole damned thing. I swear there is no way that old Muzzy ZX-7 should have passed inspection!

Even better than Scott Russell (for Canadians and Calgarians especially) is that local boy Chris Peris has come back to North America and is looking hot in the Superstock class on a GSXR1000!

--Chris Peris of Calgary, Alberta was quickest in the opening Daytona Superstock practice session. Peris put his ESP Suzuki on the top in the final moments with a lap time of 1:38.920 around the 2.95-mile Speedway. "It's been a lot of fun getting the bike ready before Daytona." said Peris. "I can't say enough about the bike. It's fast."
