hey, i've decided the carbs on a 75 cb360 i just bought are too shot to put any real effort in to rebuilding. does anyone know how i can figure out what carbs will also fit on my bike, preferably carbs that improve performance? thanks!

huh... so, the mikuni vm32mm kit fits my bike. and about 20 other bikes, but the price is slightly different for each bike. what exactly does 32mm refer to? can i assume that with proper tuning, any 32mm carb will work on my bike?

thanks!

The 32mm is the size of the opening. Any carb will work, if you get the jetting correct for it. Your best bet is to stick with the recommendations of the manufacturer as they've be at this for a long time.

so, the stock carbs work better than the mikuni carbs? mikuni claims to increase performance.

If Mikuni says you can use em, it's a safe bet you can use em. If they say they are an upgrade from OEM, they probably are.

oh, by the way, are flat sliders really that much better?

Really depends on what you mean by better.

You will also have to deal with adapting the throttle linkage to the mikunis.

I would check E-Bay for a serviceable set.

If your diaphragms are intact, I would rebuild the existing carbs. you can still get rebuild kits.

well, by better, i mean the mikuni website offers "better performance due to less restricted flow". i'm always looking for more efficient performance. adapting throttle linkages won't be a problem, as i'm not using the original throttle linkages anyway. what i'm hoping for is something simpler, more efficient, and an increase in throttle response would be great. are there any downsides to mikuni flat slides that i should know about? thanks for your help!
