I am wanting a good beginner bike, and there is a local 250 ninja within my price range. The link to the listing is: http://macon.craigslist.org/mcy/566737119.html Please tell me if you think this bike would be worth $2000, if I should offer less, or if I should just look elsewhere.
Thanks for your help.

I can almost guarantee that bike has been crashed, based on a parts comparison from my bike to that one for crash damage. It *might* be just fine, but I would want to check it out at a shop for trueness of the forks and other such damage.
After paying just to have it inspected to find out that it's gonna take more work to make it safe again, IMO you're better off avoiding a crashed bike in case it's no good...

In a World without Walls and Fences, who needs Windows and Gates?
Thanks for your input guys, I reposted this topic in another section of this site to get a wider range of opinions. I will definately have a mechanic look at it before I rush into a purchase.

Not sure how much a basic insnpection is, but I know when I crashed my bike at low speed, they had to check the forks to make sure they are true and not bent in any way, and that requires disassembly.
Maybe it went to a reputable shop and all is well...
Ask if the guy has receipts and work order copies that you can trace back to the shop, see what work was actually done....
