Starting a 82 Yamaha Seca 400
Starting a 82 Yamaha Seca 400
I have a 82 seca 400, I am haveing a problem getting it started. It has power, I can hear the starter trying to engage, I pulled the alternator cover and the crank spins freely. What else could it be? Please help

when i hit the starter button you can hear the starter clicking like its trying to turn. I am also getting a loud clicking from the solenoid

I did a jump start off of my suv, and i finally got it to turn over but it only cranked a couple of times. and then i is doing the same thing as before

I did pull the the plugs. I tried it first with the plugs out, I got it to turn. So then I put the plugs back in, It cranked a couple of times and it almost started, but when i kept trying it stoped and didn't turn anymore

ok thank you. does ony body else have any other ideas that i might check for other then a starter. could it possibly be a solenoid
