I want a scooter.

Seriously. I want a scooter. Something like a Zuma. They're a "procreating" riot to ride. Bombing around a rotary, the thing topped out at 40 mph, getting odd looks from drivers, it's awesome. Border line amazing. Though I'd want to get the 70cc big bore kit, stainless brake lines, better pads and if possible, better rubbers on the hoops. Oh yeah, they get 90 mpg. That's more than double what my Ninja gets. It's also amazing how well they balance at a dead stop.

I still want a Piaggio MP3 500 Sport. That thing gets plenty of looks and is super practical. Plus the guy who tests rides their bikes before sales tells me he can get it up to 112 MPH so it has plenty of freeway power.

How about getting a Honda Ruckus. I hear those things are great too. You can also be trendy and get a Vespa.

Time to get in touch with your softer, scooter riding side huh?

It isn't WHAT you ride,
It's THAT you ride

don't bad mouth side cars

#6 Unread post by redcoat »

Don't bad mouth sidecars unless you actually know how to ride one, like a month in the saddle. They'll go like Ben Hur's chariot, and with a complient monkey will outcorner anything on the road. Some'll even go where jeeps won't.

Scooters are fun too. But in a different way. Nimble might be the term I'm looking for.
