Father Kills son in Hunting Accident

#1 Unread post by Brackstone »

So Sad :(

I'm assuming they weren't wearing the orange vests or something. Apparently this also wasn't the first time this happened since the season started.

Man I just couldn't be in that fathers shoes.

when turkey hunting you are totally camoed out,it still shouldn't have happened.
the old man wasn't disciplined enough to know that you don't shoot unless you're sure of your target and whats behind it.
what a shame

I sense the anti gun lobby is going to latch onto this quickly.

as was mentioned, allways be sure whats behind your target, and identify your target 100%.....

+1 on identifying your target and backdrop. He should have been more careful, the father is at fault 100% for what happened to his son. I'm VERY certain that the anti-gun hippies are going to really have fun with this, sadly. Oh well, the courts have ruled in favor of the second amendment on multiple occasions already.

Sad news. The one last month with the 14yr old who was killed, the father was drunk and stoned. Too bad is son paid the price for his stupidity.

+1 on the The Rules. I know it probably sounds tacky in light of the results but that's why The 4 Rules are there. Poor father, I'm sure he's devastated.

Antis can't touch this. After all, this was a "sportsman-like with rich family tradition" trip of turkey hunting... you know, what the 2A stands for  Hillary & Obama have already said they approve - they can't take it back now, especially not after Hillary's mailings in Indiana :ermm:

The father was what? That's not cool. When you've got a gun in your hands, you should not be intoxicated at all. Talk about irresponsible.

And regarding Hillary and Obama, what a politician says and what a politician does are two completely different things. Plus they're both democrats... :pfft:

Regardless, incidents like this are why people get all upset about guns. But honestly, if the citizens of this country weren't allowed to own guns, we'd be more of a fascist state than we already are.

yup - any reason is a 'good' reason to them.

I still wonder when cars will be banned, since they kill many people on the roads...dui, cell phones, road rage, etc.

Or box cutter, or tweezers, bottle of water or a tube of toothpaste. I mean, you gotta figure if TSA bans them for being the cabin of an airplane, they've got to be bad for the public in general.

Also, household detergents and cleaners. Here in JPN there's be a rash of suicides done by mixing detergent and cleaner that creates toxic fumes. The trouble doesn't stop there. These fumes are so strong that the people who are finding the ones who committed suicide are also being killed or hurt from the fumes. So, not only is the suicidal person dying, but innocent others. They should work on detergent control or at least put more laws in place...maybe some background checks and close any loopholes that may exist.

Ahh election time

An id check to purchase detergent. How about a 5-day waiting period? There could be a federal ban on automatic detergents. :frusty:

I went to the local 'Pick-A-Part' yesterday and they wanted us to sign-in. I, of course, used an AKA. My friend laughed when he saw how I signed and the girl then wanted to see some id. Id to get in the junk yard. I think I might MacGyver me up some WMD at the junk yard today. They didn't have what I was looking for anyway.

You already need an ID to buy products with pseudoephedrine(sp?). Yes, because drug dealers are making crystal meth with sudafed and actifed means those of us with horrible sinus problems are as well. Normal, common, everday people who show no signs of abusing the stuff are obviously concocting crystal meth in secret labs in the trunks of our cars.

This is just like the communist crisis of the 50's. The government turning its eye on the people, THAT PAY THEIR SALARIES AND THE REASON THEY HAVE JOBS IN THE FIRST PLACE, and call them red, or pinko. Or a communist sympathizer. Now it's all about terrorists. Suddenly, we're all drug dealers and terrorists. Anytime someone wants to lead an angry-farmers-with-shotguns march on the capitol, let me know.

By the by, you can have guns in DC now, the ban was repealed by the supreme court. Just saying.
