Local GAS Prices. What is the price of gas in your area?

#1 Unread post by totalmotorcycle »

The radio here in announced this morning that gas per litre has gone up over 30 cents in 90 days. A US Gallon is 3.785 litres.

Currently, the cost per litre here (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is $1.299 for regular. That's $4.917 per US Gallon.

What is it where you are?

Currently Arizona is running about 3.44/gallon for low grade unleaded. That's as of this morning when I filled up. Since then it's probably gone up... :frusty:

Roughly $8.20 per US gallon over here in the UK at present.

So we're even more expensive than Hungary. LOL Now there's a surprise.

The government justification in the UK is that we have high taxes on petrol (75% of total cost) but relatively low road tax - meaning that we are taxed on mileage not on vehicle ownership. It would be interesting to know what taxes you pay for owning a car or motorcyle in the States to see if they are telling us the truth. (I doubt it!)

Gas now in Northern NJ

#9 Unread post by RhadamYgg »

3.51 and 3.49 in the two gas stations that I go to. One gas station just before the NJ Turnpike - is 3.59.

I read an article today that indicated two things:
1) peak gas prices would happen in June (probably not going out on a limb here on their part).
2) peak gas price would be 3.75 a gallon - average across the USA.

I'll bet the average price will go higher - at least $4 a gallon.

There is a town in NJ - Summit - gas price there is already 4.19 a gallon.
