I took the Rider's Edge Course a few weeks ago and brought home my 2007 Honda Shadow Aero this week. It's only left the garage once since I got it home - stupid rain. A few more spins around the neighborhood and I'll be ready for my non-freeway commute to work.

I would like to thank the reviewers and writers of TMW for providing tons of material for me to read. It saved me a lot of time as I had my list of potential first bikes ready before I went shopping and got talked into something too powerful for me. I was thisclose to buying a used XL 883 but my wife is going to be riding the bike some too(not 2 up) and found it to be too top heavy.

I had no qualms about the Shadow.

Want: HD 1200 Custom or 1200N, Dyna Low Rider or Victory Vegas 8-Ball. And the list keeps growing.

I always follow the rules.
The only exception to the rule occurs when I make an exception to the rule not to make an exception to the rule and that only occurs under exceptional circumstances.

It's great to hear that you're taking the time to get comfortable with your new bike before commuting to work.
