Cool! My first bike was a Yamaha ring-a-ding too!

A 1973 RD200 two-smoke I bought in January of 1986. I used to ride the thing back and forth in the streets near my house in freezing weather and annoy my neighbors. I once gave it a ton of throttle and dumped the clutch to see what it would do and it pulled a 12 o clocker and proceeded to spit me right off. :catapult2: Hey to be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid.

I had a lof of fun on that bike until some low life stole it from a parking lot in a shopping center.

That sure looks like an old Yamaha XDS from the late 60's.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Yes I think you're right.

It looks all original too, other than the seat cover. :D

That is a sweet looking bike! I feel a hobby commin on, dirty fingernails, weekends pooring over mags and internet for parts and going to bed with the sweet smell of oil and gas lingering in your nostrils, what a blast!
