its all coming together now
hey guys, just wanted to fill you guys in on my entrance into the biking world. I am scheduled to take the MSF class next month and have went and tried on tons of helmet(HJC seems to fit well and they are inexpensive) I have sat on on alot of bikes in the stores since thats about all i can do at this point. Seeing that I am 6'2 270, I am at least for right now looking at getting a 500cc bike as my first, despite the fact that everyone i know swears i should go at least 650. Don't worry, I'm not buying it guys. I have read the proficient motorcycling books and almost every post on this forum so all that is left is to actually take the class, and get alot of practice. Oh, once i do get a bike, I have to take a special DOD sportbike class that the military requires now because of the numer of deaths per year on those, but thats cool, the more practice and instruction the better. I will keep you guys posted, thanks for listening!...well reading.

Congratulations on having your "stuff" together. I predict you'll have a long happy motorcycling career, since you're starting out in a sane manner, not starting too big and seeking training.
Watch out for deer and other critters once you're finally on the road, although you already likely knew that. I did too, right up until I hit one. lol
