Good Deal on 2002 Yamaha 600

#1 Unread post by tlwodse »

Bike only has 1250 miles on it. Sellers wife laid it down going around a corner. It has a pretty good scratch on the rear pipe, rear tail light is also scratched. Front foot peg is slightly bent and also small dent in front of pipe. Appears to cosmetic but I did not test drive it.

Is this a good deal for $3200? Also I wasn't sure about it because it has sat around alot with only 1250 miles.

Any thoughts?

Depends if they have been starting it up or not, seals may need to be replaced. However the pipes, lights and pegs are easily replacable.
I follow a new highway I haven't traveled before.

Yamaha 600 what? Did it fall on its right side or left side?

How much was that model new?

It's 6 years old now so in my mind regardless of the miles, that price seems a bit high considering the things that need fixing.

It is a Shadow and got laid down on the right side.

I ended up with a new 2007 Honda Shadow VLX600. Got it from a local dealer for a pretty good deal.

Thanks for the help!
