I got Verizon FIOS with the understanding that I would be paying $99 per month for the tv, internet and phone service. After the sales guy convinced me with saying that there were no additional fees ($99 included fees), I signed up. Stupid me for believing the piece of s*** who came to my door selling the service. First bill was $100, which included only a partial month of phone and tv service. The next bill was $300 which included almost two months of internet, plus that month of phone and tv. I called my old cable company and they sent a local VP over to talk to me about switching over. They paid the $200 cancellation fee and i took all the Verizon junk to the collection point. I got a reciept and everything. The next month I get a bill saying I didn't return a router. Clearly on the reciept it said I did. I called and they said, "We see this reciept. Don't worry about the $111.00 charge for unreturned equipment. No, this hasn't been reported to a collection agency." My credit score was 765 at that point.
Today, I update my credit report and it's a 560. Why? Well, Verizon took the liberty of sending a derogatory past due complaint to the credit agencies.
So tomorrow I go to war with Verizon. Has anyone else had something like this happen to them? I've read online that Verizon Wireless likes to do this when people cancel their service. If anyone has dealt with this problem before, can you give me some tips? I'm fuming now over this; tomorrow I will hopefully calm down when I call the SOBs.

Any help or comments are welcome.
