I have an 03' ZR-7S. Under heavy acceleration I shift from 1st to 2nd then it pops out of 2nd gear.. then the rpms jump up.. Its doesnt go into neutral it just goes somewhere between neutral and 2nd. Anyone know of why this might be happening? I only have a little over 1000 miles on the damn thing.

Have you bent the shifter fork already? 
Some Kawi models are prone to missing second on occasion, but I don't know about the ZR-7S. Pre-loading the shifter a bit with your toe helps on most other bikes that have similar issues. My advice... if it's still under warranty take it in for service. They'll probably have to split the cases to fix it but, if not, I sure hope you'll update us on how they did it! A lot of riders would like to know.
