I've been taking the bike to work more often, but sadly, have also been cutting down on weekend/sheer-heck-of-it rides.

The reason why I ask is because I realize I haven't ridden for the heck of it in about two weeks (still do commutes and errands though). It's not on purpose; I'm wondering if gas prices are subliminally discouraging me from any "non-utility" riding.
Ahh heck, it's probably just a phase. I get 25km per liter (60mpg) on a hard ride anyway.

Not me. I run the bike instead of the Jeep wherever it's convenient, usually. Now I make a point to try to figure out ways to ride instead of drive......74mpg vs. 13mpg @ $4.14/gallon adds up quick. I still run around on the bike to places that I wouldn't go in a car, though......

I havn't touched my car in about a week. Poor thing looks at me sadly whenever I walk by it. I've only done a few short just for kicks rides lately, though that was in part to the tires being near shot. Though the 10 mile ride to or from work sometimes turns into 60. Heck a few days ago, I got 50 mpg exploring dirt roads in VT. Getting 44 mpg on average.
