xr 250 2005 model starts then splutters and dies

my xr 250l 2005 model when i start it the bike splutters then dies it has a bad noise from the right side of the topend iam putting in a new cam chain did the valves that did not get rid of the noise also putting in new cam shaft bearings as they are loose can anyone give me am idea of what the problem is the carb seems fine all the tubes dont leak ive put a new spark plug in to

First what kind of noise. Plus did you replace the cam chain tenisor when you replaced the chain. That will make a noise in the top end. Other than that piston slap will cause some noise, but you will hear it more at higher rps most of the time. I have seen a lot of problems latly where the tank does not breathe properly so it will start spudder then die a few times. Usually it is the gas cap.
