Bought my first bike today.
Bought my first bike today.
I now own a sweet looking 1983 Honda Nighthawk 650sc with 9,000 miles. I can't wait to ride it but I gotta wait on my helmet to come and on a brain for the dmv.
All Indiana BMV documents say nothing about proof of residency required for registering and title. It only says that proof is required for permits, license, or id cards. I show up with title, with a police officer inspection, and proof of insurance and the lady demands proof of residence.
I just moved into my apartment and I have no bills and my lease is just not good enough for the bmv, but an comcast cable bill would be. . Arghhh
Anyway. im having fun starting the bike in the garage every few hours. Anyone else have a 650sc?

Congrats, Monkey! I have the 3rd gen. Nighthawk (91-03). Yours has a lot more features, like better brakes and the shaft drive is nice too.
I met a guy with an '83 Nighthawk on my recent trip. He had 91,000 miles on it and it was still going strong. Good choice!

Re: Bought my first bike today.
I had a CB650, a kissing cousin of the Nighthawk. Sweet bike and probably would of been the best courier bike I owned.....sadly I only had it for about six weeks......last time I saw it, it was resting on its side underneigh the front end of a Ford 1 Ton pick up truck......Monkey wrote:I now own a sweet looking 1983 Honda Nighthawk 650sc with 9,000 miles. More power then the CM400 but still very forgiving and easy to ride.
Always ask why.
