should I buy a wracked bike even if its been fix back up

#1 Unread post by uriskall »

My question is this ... I have been to this salers house and ck out this 07 sportster that he fix up after a wrack and showed me the before and after picture of bike...and it looked like the bike have a front end crash...the front wheel was bent and the handle bars have a few scractes on it and ....he replaced wheel, exhaust , air intake, and blinkers... bike seems to run well and every thing seems inplace...but I am new to all this and could some one tell me if this is a bad deal or not or just give me some good pointers on this ... thanks

Unless you can be sure that the forks didn't bend at all (even a very small bend can throw off the suspension completely) and that the neck wasn't forced in at all, I'd pass. Leave it for a person who knows what they're looking for and how to fix it if need be.
