Bike tune up

#1 Unread post by mattb »

I just bought an older Suzuki Bandit and I'd like to give it a tune up while I wait for registration paperwork. I plan to change the fluids (brake, clutch, oil), clean and sync the carbs, adjust the valves, and change the plugs if needed.

My question is whether there is anything else I should think about inspecting or replacing while I have the top end off.

Also, can you recommend a vacuum gauge for carb synchronization at a reasonable price? I don't really want to spend $150 on a set of gauges if possible, and I think I can get away with using a single gauge.

Thanks!

Yeah, I saw that after I posted... Pretty good idea, I'll definitely go this route for balancing the carbs!
