How's this for an accident?

#1 Unread post by thume »

Got up this morning, went out to get my coffee. See a rope marking off an area around my bike (parked on the sidewalk), and some rubble.
Go to take a closer look... Yep, part of the roof of the building fell off and... wait for it... landed right on my bike.
The whole front end and all the instruments are destroyed.
This is going to be a long painful mess with insurance companies.
Ugh.

Oh well, I least I wasn't standing there when it happened. :)

Wow...bad luck! Like you said, though, it is good that you weren't standing there at the time.

Your insurance shouldn't have to pay a thing. Whoever owns the building is liable in this case.

Good luck in getting it fixed while the nice weather is there!

Cheers,

Mac

Whoa...very good thing you weren't anywhere near the bike. I hope insurance isn't going to be a giant headache. I know it would be easy with my company, but I have no idea how it works in your part of the world.
