2005 honda shadow aero

new rider anyway stopped on side of road at park and died. would not start in gear with clutch pulled in had to start in netural. made it home but not running good. Will start in netural but when pull in clutch and hit into 1st or 2nd it stalls out and seems to hit hard into gear. any ideas on what could be wrong. 6,000 miles. have been riding 4 or 5 times a week to work for 1
month with no problems until this

Check the clutch adjustment first. Then the clutch itself if that doesn't help. Then I would just drain the oil and see if there is any metal particals in the oil indicating something more seriously wrong.
