I ride with the Retreads occasionally. My Aunt and Uncle are members. But you need to be 40+ to join. However it's at the point where I can show up for the rides without them. Someone will call me their guest.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I'm in a couple clubs. The one for my university, Washington State[/url, and another one called [url=http://www.washingtonriders.com/forum]Washington Riders.

I've found it's a great way to meet new riders and get groups rides planned. Just hanging out with other bikers is another great way to spend the time, even if you're not riding. If it's pissing down rain, just meet at a coffee shop and chat, plan rides, etc...

Well worth the time!

There's several sportsbike riding groups around here, but I wouldn't come within 2 miles of any of them as it stands. They tend to encourage stupid behaviour.

I wouldnt say its a club..Yet... but I started a website for local riders in my aread here in Frederick, MD I have had a couple locals check it out.. I've done barely any advertising though...I'm hoping it will turn into a club. There is another local club here but theres a membership fee... whats that all about?
