Looking for Cruiser Comfort with Street Looks

As the topic says, I am looking for a rather peculiar bike.

I like how street/sport bikes look, but cannot stand the posture required to ride one. Likewise, I love the natural posture of classic cruisers, but the looks just don't fit my taste nor does it suit me [I'm an urbanite that weighs around 140lbs].

Therefore, I am asking for suggestions that fit both of my tastes. I hate to make it harder, but I would also like the following:
-at least 650cc, but less than 1100cc
-low center-of-gravity
-hefty enough to handle freeway driving without being buffeted around

The two closest things I have found are the Buell Lightning and the BMW F650. I apologize in advance for the criteria.

Sounds like your looking for a Sport-Touring bike. Aside from the big luxo-rigs like the FJR-1300 Yamaha, ST-1300 Honda, ST-4s Ducati and BMW R1200st, the Honda Interceptors or FZ-1 Yamaha could be what your after. If older is not a problem, my FJ-1200 is very comfy for 6-7 hours at a time, hauls the mail just fine, people consistntly call it a 'crotch rocket'.... which sorta bugs me.....

Take a look at the Suzuki Boulevard series, especially the M versions - cruiser with a sporty looking design. I have the M50 and love its looks and handling.

The S stands for sport (stylish sporty look and feel), C for cruiser (classic full-fendered look), and M for Muscle (tuned for Power and Performance). So no more Marauder, Intruder, Velusia, or Savage. The number that follows the tag denotes the size of the engine in cubic inches...

That would have been my point. Telling him to look at boulevards means look at all their cruisers. While you did point one out in specific, I think the more detailed explanation was required. Thanks

I am looking for a used bike, so which of the four older models you listed most closely resembles the M50 in appearance?

The m50 is the marauder I'm pretty sure.

yes the M50 is the Marauder. Maybe you should go for the S40/Savage (if you decide to go with Suzuki) or the Honda Shadow VLX for a first bike, they would be easier to handle, much more forgiving, and cheaper used.

They do the same with my bike... they didn't notice I'm not glued to the tank or the 150+ lbs of gear loaded on it. I had an 86 FJ1200 and it was the same back then as well.
