Woohoo! I just got a message from AMA saying that registration for the Colorado Women's Conference is available!
You can now register for the 2009 AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference, presented by Harley-Davidson and Buell. The fifth annual conference, scheduled for Aug. 19-22 in scenic Keystone, Colo., will celebrate the freedom and fun that women experience when they take to the open road on two wheels.Online registration for the four-day AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference, presented by Harley-Davidson and Buell, is now available at www.womenandmotorcycling.com. The cost is $165 until Aug. 3. Registration after Aug. 3, which includes on-site registration, will cost $185. The registration fee includes access to conference seminars, demo rides and activities, as well as admission to the opening ceremonies on Aug. 19, a barn dance on Aug. 20 and a closing banquet on Aug. 22. Both the barn dance and closing banquet include dinner. The fee also includes conference materials and a commemorative t-shirt

At the Cleveland Motorcycle Show this weekend, I found out about a link designed to help women riding to the conference link up if they need a group to ride with, or be in the near vicinity: www.womenridersnow.com.

On the left, under the Women's Conference menu, is a link called conference connections. People looking for ride companions are posting there.

They (women at various women rider booths) are concerned about attendance, both because of the economy and the time commitment. There will be "fly and ride" available, so that people can fly to Denver and rent bikes for the conference. (Hopefully, more than just EagleRider.com, which is all I see at the moment.)
