Yea its exactly what Im looking for in a starter bike... to bad I can't get my hands on one...

But I love the 650 hawk! its at the top of my list.

I don't exactly understand the dwindling standard bike market here... I guess
its due to all the teenagers and young adults wanting to ride 600cc sport bikes... ah well

I still like standards the best though.

I actually think standards are very much on the rebound. There are actually a few models to choose from. There was almost nothing 10 years ago.

Nabbed myself a hornet 600 and I'm loving it. Not a good starter bike though, it can be more then a little peaky, and if you aren't careful with it, it'll bounce all over the road.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
