Another new bike day (belated and only new to me)!

Picked up a 2007 Ninja 250 with under 3k miles on Wednesday. Sticker price was $2,999 but walked out the door for $2800. Still have to register the lojack in my name and have my MSF BRC this weekend so looking forward to practicing on my own bike when that's done.

Nice bike! Mine was red :D

But I'm pretty sure you can skip on the lojack it's only a $3k bike I don't think anyone is going to steal it.

yeah, but it was already installed before i even looked at the bike so i figure it don't make much sense to have it on there and not use it. plus every vehicle i've had since i moved here has been vandalized or broken into and i know a couple friends from work that have had motorcycles stolen here in tucson. makes me want to sit up all night with my gun......but then it'd probably be premeditated.

so we finished our safety course today and i got to ride it around town some. had to learn how to grip the throttle so that the vibration wouldn't make my hand go numb after 20 minutes. lovin' the bike already, though, but also would already like something a little bigger. come august i know what my bonus check is going towards. will do me good to ride the ninja for a few months, though, since i know i still have a lot to learn before i get something with enough power to really get away from me.

Even though it might feel a bit frustrating for now, well, you already know you're doing the right thing.

it's not really frustrating. the thing does great in town and i think i'd REALLY have to want to mess something up for it to get away from me.

just something that small i know would get blown around in any of the windy areas we have around tucson and sometimes it would be nice to get a little power out of it below 5k RPMs.

either way, it's still a blast to ride and i'll just appreciate the power my next bike has that much more. and getting 70 mpg in the meantime don't hurt, either. :D
