2000 honda magna engine cutting out
I have a 2000 Honda Magna 750. When riding on the freeway at 70 mph and 5500 rpms for about 5 minutes the engine cuts out and will not refire till the bike slows to about 50mph. This is not very fun or safe at all! I have put several tanks of gas though it and it always seems to do this at high speeds. Anyways the pipes are origanial but the left side pipes have the baffels pulled out and the bike was rejetted. Any help on this would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

What altitude are you at? What jetting suggestions did you use?
Are your spark plugs white or black?
My guess is that you're running way too lean after taking out the baffles. Also, as soon as you can pull out the baffles in the right too or put the left ones back in. Not a good idea to run backpressure on some cylinders but not others.

I am not sure of my altitude I live in Michigan if that helps. I really have no background on the bike all I know is that it sat for 2 years, something fell on the tank and they had the tank repainted. I bought the bike with the baffels all ready out and I do not have them. Will pulling the others solve this problem or do the carbs need a good cleaning and syncing? I havent pulled the plugs yet I will tomarrow and let you know.

Alright, well you're at less than 1000 feet. We Coloradoans always know the altitude of where we are... lol
I'm at 7700 feet and we have to rejet the carbs of EVERY bike that comes in because of the difference in air/fuel mixtures.
Alright...
Yes pull all of the baffles if you can, that probably won't fix the problem but will help it and will allow your engine to have even loads on it.
Sat for two years? Definitely need a cleaning and in all probability a synching. If you can get the carbs off yourself, they're rather easy to take apart, just make sure to remember what goes where. Everything goes in tight except for the idle screw and the air/fuel mixture screw.
And definitely let me know on the plugs!
