good luck

#1 Unread post by stupidnuk »

Man, i still remember getting my first bike and riding it home. It was about 3 weeks after completing the BRC and I was pretty well scared when I started riding. I went and bought a Suzuki VZ800 Marauder, which isn't near as heavy as your bike, but I am 6'2" and about 215lbs so the size of the bike isn't a problem for me. And to the guy that said he won't drop his bike as a noob, that is what I thought as well. I bought my bike used in Feb of this year, and on 7/2 someone pulled out in front of me when I was going around 60mph and I laid the bike over (figured that the road would be a bit more forgiving than the "O Ring" end of a car). I was wearing my gear (which is now trash but it saved my life) and the bike has some serious damage to the left side, but I will be riding again, just gotta fix the bike. Good luck if you decide to ride home, but I would suggest trucking the bike home if ya gotta go 100miles. My ride was one 50 miles and I was pretty tired at the end of the ride.
