GPS

#1 Unread post by Amdonim »

I've really been wanting to get a gps unit. My friend has one for his car, and I got used to having it around this summer. However the only ones I can find made for motorcycles are $700-800 and I really don't want to spend that much. Anyone here have a GPS unit that works for them that's more inexpensive?

You can use a Garmin or other small handheld, they come with adapters you can purchase for mounting on your bike. Just check out the website of the product you are interested in and you will find what you are looking for. You can also get used GPS units on EBay and on craigslist - I bought a used Garmin etrex legend on craigslist for $80 and that was over 5 years ago....still going strong.
Good luck

I have a Garmin nuvi on my bike, ran a plug from the battery to the handlebars for the GPS. if it looks like rain I put the gps in a zip log bag. With the zip lock side down.
