I have a 1981 XJ550R Yamaha. It used to run just fine. It sat for a year. Now when I ride it, it will run good for about 15 minutes each time then cut off. If I let it sit for a little while I can start it up again ride for another 15 minutes and then it will cut off. I think it might be the ignitor or coil assembly. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the fuel tank vent? Try this, take the bike out and ride it till it dies. Open the fuel tank. Did you hear a whoosh of air?
