74 Honda CB350 for $1000?

I've been looking around for a beginner bike. I emailed with a guy that had a CB350. He told this bike has been sitting since 1991, hasn't been started since then, but is in perfect condition. It has 7000 miles on it. He was firm on price for $1000. I said forget it and I don't think anyone will pay that!

Is the bike really worth that? I wouldn't buy it, but it just seems weird to me this guy valued the bike so much.

To me it might be, but not if it doesn't run.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

That's a lot of cash for a 35 year old bike that hasn't been run in almost two decades 0_0

If the bike has been sitting and hasn't been started since 1991, I can just about guarantee you that it is not in "perfect condition". I'm sure what the seller means is that the exterior of the bike looks really good.

No way I'd spend $1K for a pig in a poke like that.

My general rule is that if it's not running, it's worth salvage value.
