Need to check for spark at spark plug

#1 Unread post by flw »

How can I check for a spark for a spark plug without removing the plug?

It is a lot of work to remove the gas tank to get to them in a Kawa 500 ltd '07.

I've already emptied the gas tank, fuel lines and carb boat floats. Refilled with one gallon of premium gas. But still no combustion pops.

In addition to the spark plug check are there any other ideas that I could check on? I dying to get back on.

Thanks for your idea's.

Not really, you can leave the plug in but you still have to pull the wires off to check them, and it requires an extra spark plug to do that. Plus it's not a bad idea to pull the plug anyway to see if it's fouled.

Are you sure you have fuel flowing?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
