Yep vid's gone, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it happened in California. Cop accelerate to the downed biker?

still recovering - back to crutches, then walking with a stick, then running - then hopefully riding again!

No it's a very very common place for bikes to go in California to carve some canyons. There are a TON of videographers and photographers there every weekend to watch the bikes and cars go up it. There's even a video of Jay Leno carving it up. The cop was sitting there, and the biker saw him, out of reaction grabbed the front brakes, and lost traction.
