106% Increase in Motorcycle Registration Fee

#1 Unread post by jstark47 »

Motorcycle registration renewal in New Jersey for 2009: $31.50. For 2010: $65.00. WTF??

Passenger car fee remained the same 2009 to 2010. This is to compensate for all the wear and tear my 450 lb motorcycle creates on NJ roads? Buncha jackasses running this state....

Something weird with this. I bought my FZ6 a couple of months ago and paid $65, and now it is due again (for another $65 in July). I just don't understand. I got nailed like this for my Suzuki last year, too.

Oh that's not too bad. I thought it was like $300+ to register a new car.

Well, I don't know about a new car.... $46.50 is to renew an existing passenger car registration. Haven't had a new car since........ never mind.

Yeah I don't really buy new cars either. I buy used and sell after about 6 month to a year.

Did you transfer your plate over from the B-King? I transferred the plate from my sportster to the 1125R and just paid the registration fee. I bought the bike in October.

Yep, I transferred it. I don't get it. I must have a sign on me that says "Never mind, he doesn't need vasoline."
