I got engaged instead :D

Blew $15k on the ring, hired a photographer and a singer for the proposal and rented out the top room of a piano bar for an after party with some close friends.

Sorry ladies- storys is off the market

Congrats!

Don't let too many people tease you about the ring. Most people I know spend 20% of their annual salary on it as customary. I didn't do that myself personally but that's because the misses didn't want me too :)

Congrats man! Now convince the fiance that if you trade in the ring and get an S1000RR it'd be much more useful! lol

Haha. Believe it or not she put spending limits on how much I could spend. Anyway- my coaching money goes towards my fun fund each year. Since I coach every other weekend and I can pick up between $1k to $1.5k depending on if I coach BRC's or track classes- the ring wasn't a problem. However, financing her -$70k student loan dowry, the whole wedding and the reception... I'm back to ramen.

Ramen is decent, except when you have to eat it!
