London Bombings

#1 Unread post by Mintbread »

At least seven bombs have exploded on buses and on trains in London.
I have heard there are 2 confirmed dead and hundreds injured. This is all very sad and so ridiculously unnecessary.

So far the dead to date is 12 and they fear there is more. London has almost come to a standstill. There was a bus that had a bomb, Liverpool st station has been bombed, the whole of the underground system has been shut down. Thats just naming a couple, the scenes are pretty horrific on the TV.

Forgot to say thanks for the thoughts and prayers on behalf of people that have been affected by this serious tragedy. Got to admit its quite a shock to see it. I live approx 80 -90 miles from London, but the images on TV are quite shocking.

Hopes and prayers from us here in Canada as well. A very horrific and very sad event to be sure, just like 911 in the USA.

It is horrible that anyone has to be hurt or loose their lives in times like these anywhere in the world.

Mike.

There is nothing worse than turning on the news to see familiar places close to home being destroyed. First it seems so unreal - like a cruel special effects trick. Then reality sets in. I hope none of our members or their loved ones were directly affected, but in some way it touches us all. Hang tight...

Cheers,
Loonette

the countries that recruit train and supply these terrorists are well known.i will not elaborate on what measures it would take to end this government sponsored evil once and for all for fear of being labeled a redneck -uneducated-racist.and offending someone.

Just had a phone call from my daughter who lives in Southampton, Apparently there were 4 bomb threats in Southampton. yesterday. one in the Club next door to where my daughter lives and the second, where my daughter works, apparently they evacuated huge areas of Southampton. According to my daughters boss, they are on high alert tonight as it is the busiest time, and my daughter has been trained in evacuation proceedures. It is a bit worrying. I think the toll for London is 37 dead and hundreds wounded. I just hope they catch the sick B******s. But like you said, we wont let terrorists ruin our lives, wont give them that satisfaction. And my message would be to the terrorists, "This isnt the way to put your message across, these actions will turn the world against you! And does not your God the same as our God tell you, that you should not commit murder? and what you are doing is unjust." I just wish all the killing would stop! My heart goes out to all the families effected, and would like them to know that people from all over the world are with them.
