Hello. Just joined this site and this is my first post. I have been riding for 25 years, and currently ride a 2001 Kawasaki Nomad FI 1500. I am looking for anyone with the same bike who may know a little bit about a FI maintenance issue I have been having lately. Shop raked me for over 400 bucks and did not fix problem.

Hi Gumby!

I split your post into it's own thread so that you will get more exposure.
Do you have any photos of your bike? Love to see it!
Feel free to post your specific maintenance questions in our Trouble Shooting forum:

I'm sure there will be lots of people to help you out there, you should post the question in the Garage forums as it will get good attention there. Sorry to hear the shop took your $400 and didn't fix the issue, I'm sure we can help you with that for $400 less.

The Nomad was a nice bike in it's day, very Indian Motorcycle looking.
Welcome!
Mike

Welcome
I hope you get you're FI problems fixed, maybe it's because I ride a Kawasaki, but I really like the entire Vulcan lineup. I have never ridden one, but the Nomad FI looks like it would be a great bike to take on a long trip, are the as comfortable as the look?

Hey man.
Let me guess, acts like it has NO power, spark plugs come out right, fuel pressure is fine, spark is strong, valves are all in spec, intake is clean, and exhaust is not clogged???
