Seems to be okay, amazingly.

Yikes. Good reason to check your six when your coming to a stop and to be ready for a hasty exit.

From the looks of it, that's what he did - just after the stop and before he gets hit you can see his helmet move down and to the right like he is looking in the mirror. He just didn't have enough time to react, is my guess. And of course, the person who hit him comes out of the vehicle with a ******* cell phone in hand.fireguzzi wrote:Yikes. It isn't WHAT you ride,
It's THAT you ride

OMG that's crazy!
Did you see the amount of plastic that went flying? Thank God we didn't see pieces of him go flying!!!
I feel bad for the lady being caught on video and shared around the web... how embarrassing...

Holy "poo poo"! Can you believe what was left of the bike. It was just a pile of debris. He pretty much just stepped off the bike too. He must of been in shock!

wish i was wearing a helmet cam when i crashed. no one remembered the car in front of me stopping in the middle of the road on the merge - including the cops who took my story. Of course, the car took off.
that was really hard to watch. guess im not quite ready yet.
ah well - glad to be back on here though - hope everyone is good!!!!

still recovering - back to crutches, then walking with a stick, then running - then hopefully riding again!

I think the rider's being in shock was the only thing that saved her from, uh, not being ok.Wrider wrote:"Are you okay? I'm so sawwy. Are you ok?"

Oh dear! So sorry to hear about your accident, I didn't know before this post what you've gone through.zeligman wrote:wish i was wearing a helmet cam when i crashed. no one remembered the car in front of me stopping in the middle of the road on the merge - including the cops who took my story. Re: Rider with helmet cam gets rear ended.
Wow, a nice google search led me here... This is exactly what happened to my Vulcan 500 back in 2009 especially the landing on my feet thing. The guy was doped up judging from his response and when he took off I took his driver's mirror off. The cops that time were too useless and it was the insurance company that track him down (took the plate number).
Just watching the vid brought back a familiar feeling of shock... which then became a feeling of anger for the driver that did it. This idiot hit the rider with such force that the bike when into the back of the SUV in front. Too bad we didn't see what happened after that... maybe the video ended for a reason...
