new rider, finally chose a bike.
I first want to say thank you to all who replied to my first post about getting a bike. I took everything that was posted into account. I found a 1990 Yamaha XV535 Virago. I has 23,000, and had been ridden everyday by the second owner. Everything seems to be in order, except the reserve tank I guess does not seem to work, but there is a trip odometer, so I guess I will just watch my miles. The guy I bought it from even delivered it 40mi to my house, so my first ride was not on an interstate. I paid $1,300 which seemed like a fair price. Again thank you to all who gave me advice on what to look for and what size bike I should look at, your support is appreciated.
