There is nothing more important to me than to reach out and help more and more people and one of the ways to achieve this grand goal is to make visiting Total Motorcycle an ever improving experience! My mantra for Total Motorcycle has always been "Helpful, friendly, useful and unbiased" and I think it's achieved that over the past 12 years! I've strived to offer more and more information in one spot than anyone else on the internet and I don't charge a single penny for it! Nada.
Although some have taken it upon themselves to help out with a greatfully appreciated donation, or click on a few ads when they visit or recommend us to their friends; all of which is awesomely appreciated. But that isn't the reason for this post, it is to let you know I am going the next step to making your visit to TMW even better by getting a new server.
We upgraded our server in 2006 and continued to purchase more and more upgrades to it but we have reached a limit and will be moving to a totally new server in March!
Sorry for being down for the 6-12 hours on Saturday March 17th but hopefully you will love TMW even more when the upgrade is done.
New Hardware & Software
We have been using our current server since 2006. And will be migrating to a new server provider to utilise better hardware which provides at least twice as much memory (16GB), much faster CPU and hard drive capacity. This also provides an opportunity to install a new operating system with the latest software updates and improvements.

Estimated Downtime 6-12 hours
Will be migrating to the new server on March 17th, 2012.
Services will be taken offline at 5am GMT so we can transfer all data to the new server.
A 12 hour window is there to complete the transfer but hope to be done in under 6 hours providing there are no unexpected issues.
