Anyone really familiar with tyre sizes?

#1 Unread post by ERX »

Hi there,

Hope someone is really into tyre sizes: I am looking for the smallest (especially lowest) tyre to fit an 1,85x18" front wheel. It needs to be the highest speed spec possible; it's a rebuild project of a dragbike.

Thanks,

Erik

You're going to want something about 50-80 mm wide. Then whatever the next number is, go for the lowest you can find.

Just looking at tires online, the smallest Z rated tires I can find for an 18 inch wheel are still 120 wide. I'm not much into drag racing though, so perhaps ask a drag specialization forum?
