The neighbourhood we moved into here in Houston is having a little 4th of July parade (this should be interesting!), so we are going to be handing out Koolaid on our front lawn to quench the kiddies thirst.

NorthernPete - LOL! Sad but true unfortunately. 
So we participated in the neighbourhood parade, there were about 25 cars (inc our green mustang) and about 50 kids on bikes, another 50 walking plus 200 people on their lawns watching. Just 20 mins long and ended up at the neighbourhood pool for hot dogs, nachos and cheese, cookies and sno cones.
Even flew a couple of USA flags (small ones) on the car and front lawn. The American's sure make the 4th a big thing like us Canadians.
