....has to be the CBC's Rick Mercer of the Mercer Report. Not only has he flow with the Snowbirds, in CF-18's (twice), tandem jumped with the CF's Skyhawks, he gets to travel across Canada meeting all sorts of Canadians at their places of work and play. He also has almost unbelievable access to our PM's and can get them to go to Canada Tire to pick up some Super Plastic to fix up 24 Sussex Drive. And he gets paid to do it.

He also is a fairly good rider.

I got the chance to go drinking with a couple of the side-car riders who were in that clip. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. They also said he was a great guy. Most recently my niece met him with the air cadets and they also had great things to say about him. A great show worth watching if you are a cannuck!

Thanks Ceemes. I happened to catch it just the other night on TV and unfortunately she didn't make the cut. She said that he was hamming it up for the segment but had actually been in cadets himself when he was younger.
