Back Brake Stinking

I have a 81 Honda GL1100 GoldWing Interstate and the back brake keeps sticking. The only way I can get the bike moving is power through first and second gear. After a short time of rolling the brake will give a free itself. Why is this happening and what can I do to prevent it? Thanks for any comments.

First we really need to know when its sticking. When you first start out or after things heat up?

Thanks for the help. that should be an easy enough fix. Its a little hard to stop a Gold Wing with just the front brake.

You shouldn't have any trouble stopping the bike with just the front. You ought to rebuild all three calipers if the rear is sticking and the fronts aren't working well.

Thanks i planned on doing both. We have a lot of salt and grim still on the roads from the winter so back brake helps control through braking. Thanks for all the help.
