Riding a motorcycle

#1 Unread post by scooter12 »

Now I have to be picky when is comes to choosing a full fledge motorcycle. I sat on a GS 250 sportsbike at the Honda Shop and I could not get my throttle hand to open up. It was the position of my body that was wrong. I rode a little 50cc motorbike in 1999. It had a clutch, hi low gear, and rear brake by right foot peg. Some bikes on the picture gallery are the right type of bikes I could ride. Trail bike style bikes are the type I can ride.
Right now, been enjoying a 250cc scooter. But might go up to a 400cc motorcycle. :cowboy:
I rode motorcycles growing up, but when age 16, I suffered a severe stroke. I had to gain balance and strength to ride again. Well at age 28, I bought a Yamaha Razz 50cc 2 stroke scooter. I started riding scooters, ever since then. But had riden a Chinese motorbike for 1 year in 1999. Certain style of bikes are easier on me to reach controls.

my experience, at age 72 in 72 i learned on a Hyosung 250 really liked it, started dying when i was stopped, took it to shop was going to have to leave, well i was already thinking of bigger wheels so i traded for Yamaha Tmax 500 it had 2 15'' wheels, rode them 3yrs. & traded for a Harley Davison XL1200custom been 2yrs. now 18,000 miles & love it. so i'm 77 now this past Jan. no more panels to take off, gas milage same as tmax. go to photo gallery look for harley davison, hadn't viewed in a while, i have several pic.
