Hey, I've got a 2003 Suzuki DR200 with almost 20k on the odometer that I use as a daily commuter.
The other day I was driving home from work, when I noticed that the fifth (and final) gear wasn't working. When I shifted to it, it basically acted exactly as if it was in neutral, the bike rolled freely with the clutch out, and the engine just revved when I gave it throttle.
Every other gear is completely normal, it's just the fifth that isnt working.
Does anyone have any experience with what the problem might be?
Thanks

Re: Fifth Gear Not Working
Hello Jim and welcome to the forum. Are you sure you didn't "short shift" into a "false neutral". Try clutching and shift up again. If that doesn't work I'm afraid that somebody is going to have to go in the gearbox. Good luck.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
