Re: Discuss: What tire have you purchased that you like most
Nobody up for another tire thread? It's not easy, so many tires for many different reasons. I used Dunlop 291 and 491 rear touring tires getting 25-30k miles from them on old 400-750 Hondas, tires bought for mileage. Tried them on my 1st GS500 and found it wanted to go around corners faster than the touring tires did so I've used a lot of different bias and radial tires on them since. As I've said many times over at gstwins.com my favorite all around handling tires on the GSs were were a 110/80 bias Lasertec front with a 150/70 RoadAttack rear combo. But with the mountain years over I've used mostly Avon Roadrider tires for my last 40k miles or so, a good balance of handling with long life in a bias tire for the GSs. My GS500 tire log:

For me, I really like the Pirelli Sport Damons. Great all purpose sporty X-ply tire for bikes that feel great in the corners and last surprisingly good. http://www.pirelli.com/tire/us/en/motor ... demon.html
Another tire I get (a great budget tire) is the Bridgestone S11. At most a $100 tire (can find in the $80s) that's good and dependable. Nothing surprising, it just does everything well.

I ride Avon Gripsters. (had them on the XT350 when I owned that too)
Question is too broad since there are so many different types of bikes and they have different tire needs.
